Raising the Agreed Project Rate
In some cases you may need to raise the agreed rate of an active project. This can be done within the relevant Project page.
Just scroll to the Payment tab. To the right of the current project price you will see a little pencil symbol. Click it and you will be able to input the new price.
Just enter the new price and click "Change Price".
Adding Expenses
Please note, if you are looking to change the price to include the cost of expenses occurred over the course of the project, there is a different workflow for that.
You will first need to make sure you have marked that you're willing to pay expenses on the Posting. You can see that on the right hand of the Posting description in the Posting page (if you can't see the full description immediately make sure to click "See More").
To change the Posting to accept expenses click Edit.
In the Edit page scroll to the bottom and, where it says "Are you willing to pay expenses?", click Yes. Then hit Save.
Now the freelancer can add expenses from their end (how-to here). Best practice is for freelancers to always add relevant receipts in the Assets tab. Once done, you will be able to review these by line item when marking the project as complete. They will appear on the invoice as line items.
Lowering a Project Price
It is not possible for users to lower a project price. If there is a need to lower a project price please send a request to support@storyhunter.com with the following details:
- Project URL
- Reason for lowering project price
- Proof that the freelancer has agreed to the lowering of the project price
