Occasionally there may be moments of "trickiness" when producing through the Storyhunter platform. If this is the case always remain calm, collected, communicative, and courteous. There are often ways to work through it.
If one of the parties involved in a project becomes unresponsive, the best thing to do first is to send them a reminder within the project message thread politely asking them to respond. If, however, still no response is received and the issue is urgent, you should notify our support team by e-mailing email@example.com.
We understand that sometimes unexpected obligations come up. If you feel that you are no longer able to deliver by a specific deadline, we ask that you let your editor know as soon possible by sending a message in the project message thread describing why, and when you could realistically send the next cut.
Sometimes, for whatever reason and from whichever party, a decision might be made to cancel a project. Reasons for this may vary, e.g. the topic is no longer relevant, access could not be secured, the deliverables weren’t to the standard expected. In all cases, we suggest that the first step is to see whether there is anything that can be done to salvage the project. Clear and polite communication is key. If, after all options have been discussed, then a cancellation fee should be agreed upon. The publisher can then move to go through the on-platform cancellation process, and the freelancer signs off on it.
