Success begins with a great profile. Publishers will rely on your profile to see your skills and capabilities.
To begin, click Become a Storyhunter here.
Take a few minutes to fill out your basic information. (Note: Your mobile phone number will only be visible by the Storyhunter team). Make sure to take the time to compose a persuasive and professional bio. Once you have filled in all the relevant information, hit Next Step.
Adding Work Samples
Next, you will be asked to upload 3 of your best professional work samples. Work samples are a very important part of your profile and will be viewed by publishers considering you for postings.
To begin, hit Add New Work.
Each work sample requires a URL - we advise that you link directly to work samples that are publicly viewable on platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo. If you submit a private link, be sure to share the password in the description. You'll also be prompted to indicate the services you provided when completing this project.
For each work sample that you add, you can provide the name and company email address of the individual who commissioned you to produce that work (personal email addresses like Gmail and Hotmail are not accepted). An email will be sent to that person asking them to verify that you carried out the work. Once this is done, you will have a verification stamp and the company's logo attached to your profile. This will improve your chances of commissions on the platform. It is highly recommended that you have your projects verified.
In some cases, the company that you have worked for may already be part of our database, and the company's name will be suggested after you add the email address. Please go ahead and select the company's name if it appears.
Click Add New Work when you're done.
Repeat this process to add additional work samples. When you've added at least three, click Next Step to continue.
When your account is approved, you'll be notified of postings in your area, looking for producers with your skill set. Make sure to keep your day rate updated, as this directly effects which postings you will get notified for. You will not receive notifications for postings below your minimum day rate.
You’re all set - your profile has been submitted for approval. You'll receive an email once you’ve been approved, after which you will be able to see postings and start hunting.
If you need to go back to a previous page to change anything, you may select the step from the yellow timeline at the top of the page.
